- Our historic downtown has served as a shopping destination for over century. With the increase in off site chain complexes, the downtown has shifted to satisfy more niche markets. While this shift has seen an increase in the number of boutique shops (carrying many high end and hard to find products), 'downtown' doesn't always equal 'pricey'.
